This impressive three-story custom timber frame lakehouse offers a distinctly masculine aesthetic with its massive Douglas fir timber frame and stone/brick facade. It is also something of an architectural marvel. Despite the 46 by 84 footprint, there are no visible supports – not even in the drive-in basement, where the homeowner stores his antique tractor collection.

A radiused, cantilevered deck stretches across the entire width of the water side of the house, and a cobblestone-clad turret encloses a winding staircase and elevator that lead to a cozy anteroom. Just inside the front door, two flying staircases curve up to the second story. With its massive great room, oversized kitchen and whole-house audio/video entertainment system, this timber frame lake house was built for entertaining.
