Creating ample space on the main level for vehicles, equipment storage and woodworking projects was accomplished with this 55’ x 36’ queen-post timber frame with an added 18’ x 20’ clear story ell. The glazing in the ell’s upper gable wall floods the interior space with plenty of natural light.  Bonus storage for kayaks, boats, bikes and other gear is located in the full walk-out basement on the lower level – accessed by its own overhead door. With structural insulated panels installed over the douglas fir timber frame roof, the upper level is ready to be finished for future living space.  Houses and Barns by John Libby’s designer utilized traditional exterior details include two sets of custom mahogany and douglas fir sliding barn doors, classic trim details and copper flashing throughout.
