Great Island Boat Yard

A fire that damaged one of the buildings at the Great Island Boat Yard in Harpswell, Maine in the winter of 2008 led the owners to call us to rebuild. We fabricated the 40′ x 60′ Douglas Fir timber frame in our shop in the fall and raised it on site in January. New construction of the building was finished by summer. The new offices, store and welcome center for members and guests provides a warm and spacious atmosphere with beautiful views of the cozy harbor.
