Isle of Light. This article, featured in the Spring 2021 issue of Decor Maine, is aptly named. During the design process, Bo and Betsy emphasized ‘light’ as one of their most important criteria. As a result, doors, windows, skylights, and the even the shade of white paint were carefully selected. The long lasting interest these studios generate is a source of pride to our team. We often hear from writers, artists, designers and just folks who appreciate simplicity and great design about these buildings. The location on a remote Maine island surely adds an additional allure. We are grateful to Allison Paige for capturing in words the essence of this special place. Photographer Jeff Roberts’ stunning photography doesn’t disappoint! Thank you both.
