Harbor View Home

A narrow, steep lot in a picturesque waterfront village provided a challenge to design a home incorporating several features requested by a returning client. The couple plans to retire here and desired some features for ease of living including an elevator from the ground level, where an endless pool is located; a master bedroom on the main living level; cozy room sizes; and views of the harbor from all the rooms.

The two car timber framed garage is seen from the road and was constructed allowing for a clear span, full daylight basement for storage or a workshop. To keep air quality high in the home, the garage is a separate structure. A covered walkway provides comfortable, protected access to the home from the garage with sweeping views of the waterfront.

The main living area of the home is level with the garage but is actually on the second level due to the slope of the property. A custom cherry spiral staircase runs from the lower level to the third story guest room creating an open feel throughout the home. This custom designed, unique home has many interesting features - including the spectacular view!
