The Chickens and the Timber Framer
July 8, 2009

In 1996, we received a call from a client in Connecticut, who wanted to build a 40′ x 60′ timber frame barn on his property.  He also had a flock of chickens and wanted to build a special place for them.  During the construction of the main barn, we designed and constructed a 16′ x 20′ poultry barn. The structure sat on a poured slab with  edge and center beadboard interior, individual nesting boxes, Marvin windows and a cupola for a finishing touch.  To read more about this timber frame project, visit our classic barns page.
